Islands Safeguarding Children Partnership (Guernsey & Alderney) Safeguarding Procedures Manual

This is the first version of our procedures manual produced in partnership with tri.x. The manual will be undergoing further development as the legislation and guidance within Guernsey & Alderney continues to evolve. You will see reference to legislation and guidance that exists within England to help inform your safeguarding practice but the manual must be read within the context of the law of Guernsey and Alderney.

Our primary law is The Children (Guernsey and Alderney) Law 2008 ('Children Law') which introduced a welfare based, integrated model for responding to concerns about children.
